About Woodsmen

Woodsmen Tree Service was established as the residential and local arboricultural division of Makerikeri Silviculture — North Canterbury's largest commercial forestry contractor. The idea was simple: bring the same level of expertise, equipment, and professionalism that manages over a million trees per season to the residential market.

Based in the Hurunui district, we serve homeowners, farmers, councils, and developers across North Canterbury and Christchurch — from Kaikōura in the north to Christchurch and Selwyn in the south. Our team of qualified arborists has worked on everything from single-tree removals in tight suburban sections to large-scale section clearances for new developments.
